Are you an experienced Senior or Principal Education Consultant who has hit a plateau in career progression and you are looking for the next step for your career?

My client, a fast growing independent agency, we provide a very personal service to teachers and schools. We are now looking to open a branch in York and need our first senior hire to kick start the branch.

We are looking to recruit a senior recruiter to join the business in the next 3 months.

For this role you will need proven success running an education recruitment desk and to be able to lead by example.

You will be running a busy desk yourself and learn the Operational Management and Strategic side of our business in a trainee management role, one step under the Managing Director.

You will have the full support for your desk with back office systems and staff.

If you would like to get this new branch off the ground, starting by remote working with all the compliance done for you so you can concentrate on billing!!

The role:

  •  Sourcing candidates to address client school shortages
  •  Undertaking a comprehensive series of checks to ensure candidate suitability and compliance
  •  Drafting and producing vacancy advertisements and ensuring they reach appropriate target audiences across a range of job boards
  • Supporting the Recruitment Team with business development to attract new client schools and colleges
  • Using LinkedIn and Facebook and referral schemes we have to source suitable candidates
  • Reviewing candidate applications and assessing initial suitability
  • Assessing candidate suitability at interview and arranging registration appointments
  • Liaising with clients, developing client relationships and ensuring an excellent customer experience
  • On the Operations side, you will learn how to manage and drive a team, understand how to measure the financial performance of our business and how to set strategic and operational goals
  • Learn how to think strategically to get ahead of the competition and we are also very open to ideas you will bring to the role

You must:

  • Be able to lead by example in managing your own desk and help train up new staff
  • Have excellent attention to detail and will to begin a senior leadership training role
  • A strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and to work with a small team to help individual members thrive with your help
  • The ability to work with minimum guidance whilst carrying out multiple tasks
