I've been working in recruitment for 20 years now. After graduating in Law at Manchester University I 'fell' into Legal recruitment much to the disappointment of my parents who had visions of me becoming a QC..at that time recruitment wasn't viewed as the 'profession' it is now. Being young and impetuous, however, I decided that it was a much easier way to make money as a 21 year old and thankfully I was right. I also quickly realised that I actually loved the job!
I set up divisions for two businesses in Legal, Financial Services/Insurance and Accountancy in my 20's, gaining rapid promotion with my first firm to Director before moving into recruitment to recruitment with the market leader at the time.
I set Ruth Moran Consulting up 16 years ago and still fee earn - it's my passion and even after all these years still gives me a huge amount of satisfaction. Many of our clients and candidates have 'grown up' with us and are also now people we would call friends. There's also no doubt that we have one of the strongest businesses in our market when it comes to network and reputation. Roles covered are from Consultant level through to C.E.O both nationally and internationally.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my children George and Olivia, walking our dogs Chester and Pebbles, eating Indian food (my other passion) and travelling whenever possible to anywhere from Cape Town to Rome!

I've been working in recruitment since 1995. I started as a Branch Manager with ABC contract Services running a successful Industrial and Driving Office.
I then went on to run the BT Call Centre contract at Kelly Services managing over 700 call centre staff. I was headhunted from Kelly by Hays and stayed at Hays for 6 years as a Regional Manager building and developing a Logistics recruitment business from zero to five offices in 3 years.
After Hays, I had a complete change of sector and became Regional Manager of 8 Social Care offices for Reed Social Care managing over 70 staff and a T/O in excess of £25m per annum.
I strongly believe that my recruitment background and specific sector experience puts me ahead of my competitors in terms of understanding my clients needs and my candidates aspirations.
Outside of work my main passion and stress reliever is Manchester City. I have been a season ticket holder for over 30 years and still make the commute to Manchester for every home game, rain or shine. I also play the occasional game of golf (badly) and enjoy quarterly 'men only' golf trips without the wife, which is one of my top tips for a successful marriage.

Like most people, I too ‘fell’ into recruitment. After graduating from Queen Margaret University Edinburgh in Psychology, Sociology & Politics I then went to Liverpool Hope University & completed my Primary PGCE. A few years in the classroom was enough for me!
A few twists of fate later & I landed at an education recruitment agency called justteachers where I progressed from novice, to Senior Consultant & then to one of their top billers. I learned so much during my eight years at JT & really felt that I had found my passion in helping people find a job, especially people who were disillusioned & disheartened in their current role & the job hunting process. I always get great satisfaction when candidates tell me they are happy in their dream role!
Now I have joined Ruth Moran, I am looking at transferring my skills to helping fellow recruiters find their perfect role & the next step up in their career.
When I’m not in work, you will find me either trying out the latest new restaurant, cooking (food is a theme here!) or spending time with my two dogs, Sidney & Beth on long walks. My other passion is holidays and my goal is to spend New Years’ Eve in as many different places as possible. The best so far have been Sydney Harbour & New York!

I’ve been working in the recruitment industry for 17 years across a variety of industries, roles and locations. I started in recruitment in 2004 as an Industrial branch sales consultant based at Everton FC, Bolton Wanderers FC and Blackburn Rovers FC before moving to the onsite managed services division. Here, I worked on high volume temporary recruitment solutions to some of the UK’s largest employers of blue collar temporary staff. More recently, I’ve been working on niche IT ERP positions in the Germany and DACH region, where my German language skills helped me to build rapport and win new business opportunities in a very candidate scarce market.
Prior to working in recruitment, I’ve had a varied and colourful working history. As a member of the British Army, I was based in locations in Germany and Bosnia. The training I received as a vehicle mechanic allowed me to volunteer afterwards as a Polytechnic Instructor at a school in Kenya for a UK based charity which I found very rewarding.
In my home life, I am married with 2 daughters and have black Labrador called Bella.

Before falling into recruitment I studied a Business Management Degree, alongside working as a seasonal team member at Alton Towers which was interesting!
I’ve been working in Healthcare Recruitment since 2015, having started out at Service Care Solutions where I managed a Nursing and AHP desk. I have also worked within Primary Care Recruitment which involved sourcing Doctors to work within general practices. I firmly believe that my recruitment background and specific sector experience puts me ahead of my competitors in terms of understanding the needs of both my Clients and Candidates. I’m also passionate about these markets which definitely helps!
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend and toddler, whilst planning for the arrival of our second baby.

I’ve spent most of my working life in Recruitment - my first position was in my late teens! My love for Industrial and Commercial Recruitment has grown over the years, starting out as an Recruitment Consultant, Business Development Manager and working my way to Branch Manager. I love placing quality candidates in their perfect roles!
Making a change to Rec2Rec and joining Ruth Moran Consulting was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I work in a team that is caring, supportive, nurturing, fun and maybe sometimes a little bit crazy!!
My personal life is full of family - that I can’t get enough of! I love social events, meals out and travel - Mauritius is my favourite destination. At weekends I love spending time with my beautiful girls and husband - I also have 3 crazy dogs 2 Weineramers and a German Short haired pointer - they keep me really busy!!
After completing University in 2019 I intended to take a trip to Senegal. However a week before flying away I was offered a role as a Recruitment Consultant with a Global Recruitment Agency. I experienced a new environment in a busy office within a fast paced role that I fell in love with!
I now am a researcher reporting directly into our MD Ruth. An ever developing role which I feel sure will shape into an amazing career for me.
In my free time I like to keep myself occupied in Computing and Website Development projects, or in the gym. I am also a very sociable person and enjoy being with friends and family.
