Senior Recruiter – Public Sector & Not for Profit
Location: London (Hybrid) Sector: Public Sector & Not for Profit – Permanent & Interim Level: Experienced Recruiter
The Opportunity
Join an established and growing London recruitment agency at an exciting time of expansion. Following a sustained period of growth, they are building out their Public Sector & Not for Profit desk and are looking for an experienced recruiter to come on board and make an immediate impact.
Crucially, you won't be spending months trying to get a foot in the door with clients. The agency holds a strong portfolio of government frameworks, meaning you'll have direct access to a significant volume of business from day one.
Frameworks & Partnerships
The agency is an approved supplier across several of the most prominent public sector frameworks in the market, including the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) RM6277 Framework, the Local Government Resourcing Partnership (LGRP) Framework and the Cirrus Consortium Agency Labour Framework. They also maintain active relationships with a number of leading Master Vendor and Neutral Vendor solutions, giving you broad reach across the public sector landscape without the cold start that holds so many recruiters back.
The Role
You'll be working on a busy and growing desk, placing permanent and interim professionals across the Public Sector and Not for Profit space. The key disciplines you'll be recruiting into include Procurement & Supply Chain, Finance, and Change & Transformation — all areas of significant and sustained demand across local and central government, NHS, housing associations, charities and other third sector organisations.
The agency operates on both a contingent and retained basis, and with frameworks already in place, the focus is firmly on delivery, relationship development and growing the desk further during an already positive period of momentum.
What We're Looking For
You'll be an experienced recruiter with a genuine understanding of the public sector hiring landscape. Whether your background is in one of the specialist disciplines above or you have broader public sector recruitment experience, what matters most is that you know how to build trust with clients, manage senior stakeholder relationships and deliver at pace in a framework-driven environment.
Beyond technical experience, you'll need a tenacious, can-do attitude. This is a desk with real commercial opportunity and the backing of an established business behind it — but you'll need to be the kind of person who grabs that opportunity with both hands rather than waiting to be pointed in the right direction.
You'll be comfortable working with procurement leads, HR and Talent Partners, Finance Directors, COOs and Heads of Transformation — the people who make hiring decisions in complex organisations and expect their recruiters to understand their world.
Why Join?
The frameworks are in place. The client relationships exist. The desk is growing. For the right recruiter, this is a genuine platform to build something substantial within a supportive and well-respected agency. You'll benefit from the credibility and infrastructure of an established business while having the autonomy to develop your own presence in the market.
If you're an experienced recruiter ready to hit the ground running in the public sector space, this could be exactly the move you've been looking for.
