THE OPPORTUNITY
We are a globally established recruitment agency specialising exclusively in the Property, Construction and Energy sectors, with offices across Australia, Asia, the Middle East, the Americas, and beyond. With a track record spanning over a decade, we have built an unrivalled reputation for connecting exceptional talent with the world's leading energy organisations across the full spectrum of the industry.
As we continue to grow our New York operation, we are looking to appoint recruitment professionals at all levels — from Recruitment Consultant through to Associate Director — to join our team. These are desk-based roles specialising in permanent recruitment across the energy sector, supporting developers, operators, investors, contractors, and consultants spanning oil and gas, power generation, renewables, and energy transition across New York and the broader North American market.
This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing, internationally connected team at a pivotal moment for the energy industry. North America is at the centre of one of the most significant energy transitions in history, with unprecedented levels of investment flowing into both conventional and clean energy — creating exceptional demand for talent across the sector.
THE ROLES
We are open to candidates at the following levels:
- Recruitment Consultant
- Senior Recruitment Consultant
- Principal Consultant
- Associate Director
Regardless of level, you will be building and managing client and candidate relationships across the energy sector in New York and the wider North American market. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with energy developers, operators, investors, EPCs, and consultancies across New York and North America
- Managing the full 360° recruitment cycle for permanent roles across the breadth of the energy sector, including oil and gas, LNG, power generation, renewables, energy storage, and energy transition
- Sourcing, screening, and presenting high-calibre candidates across all energy disciplines and seniority levels, spanning engineering, project management, commercial, finance, and corporate functions
- Providing informed market intelligence and salary benchmarking to both clients and candidates
- Proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities within your specialist area
- Collaborating with colleagues across our international office network to leverage global candidate pipelines
- Representing the company with the professionalism and credibility that our client relationships demand
More senior candidates will be expected to take on additional responsibilities including team leadership, strategic account management, and contribution to the growth and direction of the New York office.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for driven and commercially minded recruitment professionals with relevant sector experience at any stage of their career. You don't need to have worked in the US market previously — candidates with strong experience placing professionals within the UK or international energy markets are very much encouraged to apply.
Essential requirements:
- Proven track record in recruitment within the energy sector or a closely related discipline, spanning oil and gas, power, renewables, or energy transition
- Demonstrable experience of managing a 360° permanent recruitment desk
- Strong commercial acumen and a consultative approach to business development
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, resilient, and target-driven with a genuine passion for the energy industry
Desirable:
- Prior experience working in or recruiting for the North American energy market
- Existing candidate or client networks within oil and gas, power generation, renewables, or energy transition
- Familiarity with the full energy project lifecycle across upstream, midstream, downstream, or clean energy disciplines
- For senior roles: demonstrable experience of leading, mentoring, or developing junior recruitment staff
