THE OPPORTUNITY
We are a globally established recruitment agency specialising exclusively in the Property, Construction and Energy sectors, with offices across Australia, Asia, the Middle East, the Americas, and beyond. With a track record spanning over a decade, we have built an unrivalled reputation for connecting exceptional talent with the world's leading civil infrastructure contractors, consultancies, and project delivery organisations.
As we continue to grow our Melbourne operation, we are looking to appoint recruitment professionals at all levels — from Recruitment Consultant through to Associate Director — to join our team. These are desk-based roles specialising in permanent recruitment across the full spectrum of civil infrastructure, supporting tier one contractors, engineering consultancies, government bodies, and specialist firms across Melbourne and the wider Australian market.
This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing, internationally connected team at a pivotal moment for civil infrastructure in Australia. Victoria is in the midst of one of the most significant infrastructure investment programmes in the country's history, with major projects spanning rail, roads, tunnels, bridges, water, and urban renewal — creating exceptional and sustained demand for high-calibre civil infrastructure professionals across all disciplines and levels.
THE ROLES
We are open to candidates at the following levels:
- Recruitment Consultant
- Senior Recruitment Consultant
- Principal Consultant
- Associate Director
Regardless of level, you will be building and managing client and candidate relationships across the civil infrastructure sector in Melbourne and the wider Australian market. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with tier one and tier two contractors, engineering consultancies, government agencies, and specialist civil firms across Melbourne and Australia
- Managing the full 360° recruitment cycle for permanent roles across the breadth of civil infrastructure, including civil engineering, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, project management, quantity surveying, planning, and design
- Sourcing, screening, and presenting high-calibre candidates across all civil infrastructure disciplines and seniority levels, from graduate engineers through to project directors and technical principals
- Providing informed market intelligence and salary benchmarking to both clients and candidates
- Proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities within your specialist area
- Collaborating with colleagues across our international office network to leverage global candidate pipelines
- Representing the company with the professionalism and credibility that our client relationships demand
More senior candidates will be expected to take on additional responsibilities including team leadership, strategic account management, and contribution to the growth and direction of the Melbourne office.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for driven and commercially minded recruitment professionals with relevant sector experience at any stage of their career. You don't need to have worked in the Australian market previously — candidates with strong experience placing civil infrastructure professionals within the UK or other international markets are very much encouraged to apply.
Essential requirements:
- Proven track record in recruitment within the civil infrastructure sector or a closely related discipline, such as civil engineering, structural engineering, transport, water, or geotechnical
- Demonstrable experience of managing a 360° permanent recruitment desk
- Strong commercial acumen and a consultative approach to business development
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, resilient, and target-driven with a genuine passion for the infrastructure industry
Desirable:
- Prior experience working in or recruiting for the Australian civil infrastructure market
- Existing candidate or client networks within tier one contracting, engineering consultancy, or government infrastructure delivery
- Familiarity with the full project lifecycle across a range of civil infrastructure asset classes including transport, water, utilities, and urban development
