The Opportunity

Are you an experienced recruitment consultant ready to take your career to the next level in one of Australia's most active and heavily invested sectors? We are looking for a driven Senior or Principal Consultant to join our team in Sydney, specialising in the placement of specialist Civil Infrastructure talent across leading contractors, developers, engineers, and public and private sector clients.

This is a genuine 360 billing role — you'll own the full recruitment cycle, from business development and client relationship management through to candidate sourcing, assessment, and offer management. You'll be operating in a market buoyed by record levels of government and private infrastructure spending, where demand for top talent consistently outstrips supply.

Civil Infrastructure sits squarely within our core expertise. Our Infrastructure & Engineering division was established by highly experienced consultants with relationships spanning Asia Pacific, MENA, North America and Europe, and we have a strong track record of delivering hard-to-fill and senior appointments across some of the most complex and high-profile infrastructure programmes in the region.

The Market You'll Work In

You'll be recruiting across the full civil infrastructure project lifecycle, partnering with clients that include:

• Tier 1, 2 and 3 civil contractors
• Transport and infrastructure authorities
• Government departments and public sector delivery bodies
• Engineering and design consultancies
• Private investment and infrastructure fund managers
• Asset owners and operators across roads, rail, ports, utilities and water

Roles you'll place will span civil engineering, project management, contracts and procurement, planning, commercial management, design, and senior leadership — from specialist technical positions through to Director and executive level appointments.

What We're Looking For

We're open to candidates at Senior Consultant or Principal Consultant level. What matters most is your track record and your drive. You'll bring:

• Proven experience as a 360 recruitment consultant, ideally within civil infrastructure, engineering, construction, or a related technical or professional services discipline
• A strong business development mindset with the confidence to build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders across contractors, consultancies and client-side organisations
• Experience or genuine interest in the Civil Infrastructure sector (sector knowledge is advantageous but not essential — what you know about recruiting and building a desk matters most)
• The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative, high-performance team culture
• Ambition to grow — whether that's building a desk from strength to strength or progressing into a leadership role over time
