The Opportunity

Are you an experienced recruitment consultant ready to take your career to the next level in one of the most technically specialised and creatively driven corners of the built environment? We are looking for a driven Senior or Principal Consultant to join our team in Sydney, specialising in the placement of specialist Design & Engineering talent across leading consultancies, contractors, developers, and client-side organisations.

This is a genuine 360 billing role — you'll own the full recruitment cycle, from business development and client relationship management through to candidate sourcing, assessment, and offer management. You'll be operating in a market where deep sector knowledge and trusted relationships are the currency of success — and where a specialist recruiter with genuine expertise is worth their weight in gold to clients and candidates alike.

The Market You'll Work In

You'll be recruiting across the full spectrum of design and engineering disciplines, partnering with clients that include:

• International and boutique architecture and design practices
• Multidisciplinary engineering consultancies
• Specialist structural, civil, mechanical and electrical engineering firms
• Developer and client-side design teams
• Contractors with in-house design and engineering capabilities
• Infrastructure delivery organisations and government bodies

Roles you'll place will span architecture, interior design, urban planning, structural engineering, civil engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, BIM, project management and technical leadership — from mid-level professionals through to Principal, Associate Director and executive appointments.

What We're Looking For

We're open to candidates at Senior Consultant or Principal Consultant level. What matters most is your track record and your drive. You'll bring:

• Proven experience as a 360 recruitment consultant, ideally within design, engineering, construction, or a related technical or professional services discipline
• A strong business development mindset with the confidence to build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders across design practices, engineering consultancies and client-side organisations
• Experience or genuine interest in the Design & Engineering sector (sector knowledge is advantageous but not essential — what you know about recruiting and building a desk matters most)
• The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative, high-performance team culture
• Ambition to grow — whether that's building a desk from strength to strength or progressing into a leadership role over time
