About the Role

Are you an experienced recruitment consultant looking for more flexibility, more autonomy and a commission scheme that properly rewards your performance?

We are a small, independent boutique recruiter supplying temporary white-collar contractors into some of the biggest infrastructure and engineering projects in the UK and across Europe. We’re looking for a talented technical engineering recruiter to join our team and take ownership of a warm desk, with the freedom and support to build it into something of your own.

The Desk

You will be recruiting mid to senior level temporary contractors across a broad range of technical engineering disciplines, working with clients in:

• Rail
• Power Generation
• Renewable Energy
• Utilities
• Civil Engineering and Construction
• Telecoms
• Data Centres
• Transport and Infrastructure

Our clients include major programmes and household names such as Sizewell C, HS2, Havant Thicket, National Highways and Thames Water.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing and growing a warm desk of existing clients and contractors
• Winning new clients and opportunities through proactive business development
• Managing the full 360 recruitment cycle, from taking briefs to sourcing, screening, submitting, negotiating rates and managing contractors on assignment
• Building long-term relationships with hiring managers, procurement teams and a network of high-calibre contractors
• Mapping the market and identifying new opportunities across the UK and wider Europe
• Maintaining a strong pipeline and consistently hitting your targets

About You

• Proven experience as a recruitment consultant on a technical engineering desk, ideally covering the UK and wider European market
• A track record of placing temporary or contract white-collar professionals at mid to senior level
• Experience in one or more of our sectors (rail, power, renewables, utilities, civil engineering, telecoms, construction, data centres or transport)
• Demonstrated success in winning new business and generating your own leads
• Self-motivated, resilient and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a commercial mindset
• A credible, consultative approach with both clients and candidates
